In the second trial of what is called the "Engle Progeny Cases", Big Tobacco lost to the plaintiff. Reportedly, the jury found that cigarettes are defective and awarded $1.3 million against the defendants.

After being hooked by Big Tobacco in the 1920's, 1930's, 1940's and the 1950's, these injured smokers are finally beginning to see some justice from a system they have patiently waited to give them the opportunity.

These are injured victims who began smoking early in life and were told for decades that smoking cigarettes was safe. In fact, Big Tobacco actually told people that smoking cigarettes might be healthy. Doctors appeared on television telling consumers that smoking was good for your throat. Big Tobacco is finally reaping what they have sown.

Two down for Big Tobacco and only (more or less) 7,998 to go.
